This is the Service Robotics Ltd (SRL) privacy notice, SRL is the data controller for personal information we process in connection with our websites, our mobile device applications and our connected healthcare companion robot service known as GenieConnect®.

What data is collected
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- You are a service user of GenieConnect®.
- You have approached us about using our service, being an investor or working with us.
- You work with us either directly or indirectly.
- You are representing your organisation.
We also receive personal information indirectly, in the following scenarios:
- Health and social care professionals, your relatives or other carers give us details about you or themselves to help us care for you.
- One of our service users nominates you as a family member or contact.
- An SRL employee provides your contact details as an emergency contact or a referee.
- You are, have been or may be one of our suppliers
Lawful basis for the use of your data
- In processing personal data for a service user or employee the lawful basis is contractual. Without a contract we cannot provide you the service or employ you.
- We rely on consent as the lawful basis to process the personal data of relatives, friends, and other associates of a service user.
- For future clients, service users’, suppliers, and employees we may use legitimate interest as the lawful basis to process personal data.
Types of data
For all categories of data subject, we collect contact details. For current, past, or potential contractors, staff and other suppliers we also process data relevant to them being recruited, working with and being paid by SRL. For delivery of our service we process usage and environmental data from the platform and information provided to us by the service user, medical professionals, carers, friends, and family. This may include special categories of information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have certain rights over your own personal data. The rights available to you depend on our reason for processing your information and have defined limits.
Right of access
You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Right to rectification
You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Right to erasure
You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Right(s) to restriction or objection
You have the right to ask us to restrict or object to the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
Right to data portability
This only applies to information you have given us. You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us from one organisation to another or give it to you. The right only applies if we are processing information based on your consent or a contract and the processing is automated.
Exercising your rights is free unless its excessive or repetitive and we undertake to respond to you within one month.
Retention
We retain your data for as long as is required for the purposes for which it is collected, after which it is anonymised or deleted.
Sharing
We will not share your information with any third parties for the purposes of direct marketing.
We use data processors who are third parties who provide elements of services for us, for example Amazon provides us with cloud computing services. We have contracts in place with our data processors. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it and if they stop working for us, they either return or destroy the data.
In some circumstances we are legally obliged to share information. For example, under a court order or where we cooperate with the Police or other supervisory authorities in an investigation.
We may be acquired by or merge with another entity. In these types of transactions, information about users as well as aggregated and anonymized data is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. In such an eventuality the new or acquiring entity may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
International Transfers
We retain your personal data in the UK or in countries for which the British Government issued an adequacy declaration, at all times.
